Megan's bachelorette is going to be pretty popular...

The genre of the auto-text--you need big letters and numbers, to be sure, but those "normal" textual elements aren't dependent on the speed of the vehicle--except that the potential for speed makes big text necessary for readability.

For the glimpse here of the arrow/phallus, though, the 'mph' becomes part of the kairotic moment --you get the simultaneous readings only if you're going fast enough to not be able to re-read...

I think it's also a very American genre. No political messages or pleas for justice. It's all geared towards individual, immediate desires or the attempt to meet such individual, immediate desires. That, coupled with using the automobile as the medium, makes it very American.
